Kathie, who is mom to kids Cody, 19, and Cassidy, 15, says that TLC stars Jon and Kate need to rethink their priorities if they want to save their marriage.
“I would turn off the cameras if I were them and just work on healing together as a family,” Kathie says, adding, “Who knows the long-term damage something like this could do? I understand they are making a living, but you have to wonder at what price.”
Kathie is no stranger to public marital meltdowns: In 1997 her own personal life shot into the headlines when her husband Frank Gifford’s affair with a flight attendant was revealed. Though they stayed together, she said at the time, “It’s so hard. Trust takes one second to lose and a lifetime to rebuild.”
Kathie spills the secret to finding the right work-family balance in her own life: “Oh, you know, I think if you always make your family your first priority, everything else will fall into place.”
