Tom Brady has two child with 2 different woman
Most will be discussing their excellence and performance as opposing quarterbacks: Touchdowns, yardage, completed passes and interceptions.
But let’s pretend for a moment that we are assessing the performance of Brady and Sanchez as if they were…women. I’m thinking in terms of women athletes. Sure, we want to know about their performance, stats and rankings.
But, seriously, who are you wearing? How are you balancing children and a career? What were you thinking when you posed for ESPN or SI like that?
Silly, but that is the constant storyline for the female athletes as accomplished as Kim Clijsters, U.S. Open champion, and Olympic medalist Lindsey Vonn, among many others.
Tonight’s game has been dubbed, Battle of the Pretty Boys. So let’s ask the silly. But first, salary. Brady has a five-year, $78.5 million contact with $38.5 million guaranteed and a $16 million signing bonus. Sanchez signed a five-year deal last year worth $50 million that includes $28 million guaranteed.
Now let’s consider how Brady is the new face of Men’s UGGs with UGG Australia. Long hair, furry boots. In contrast, Sanchez was featured in GQ last year wearing American Apparel, A/X Armani Exchange and J. Crew. So they both like the mall. Tie.
According to the NY Post, Brady’s coiffure is a sensitive subject. The Patriots QB has reportedly been trying to cover up a bald spot and receding hair line “by adopting the Tarzan look.” Can’t touch the Jets’ QB’s “so touchable” locks. Win to Sanchez.
As for work-life balance, Brady, 33, has two children, sons by both actress Bridget Moynahan and supermodel Giselle Bundchen. Jack (by Moynahan) is now three years old and Benjamin (by wife Bundchen) nearly one. Bundchen recently revealed to People magazine: “Overall they really get along and I’m very lucky.”
Point to Brady; while he did leave Moynahan while she was pregnant he does appear to be a standup dad to Jack. Sanchez, 24, has no children.
The upshot is…what does this have to do the men’s QB talents? Nada.
Similarly, why all the talk about Olympic skiier Lindsey Vonn’s poses, Venus’ outfits and Kim Clijsters’ parenting? Are they exposing themselves differently, or are public expectations askew?
