Jade Richards change goth image. She may sing like Adele but she doesn’t look enough like her to please The X Factor bosses.

Hopeful contestant Jade Richardson has been told by show bosses to abandon her Goth image if she wants to be a successful star. The 21-year-old singer made a huge impact on last nights show after singing Adele’s Someone Like You and became an overnight star. Despite moving judges Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh to tears the Scot has allegedly been told that she will have to go through a major makeover if she intends to win the show. A close friend of hers told the Daily Star Sunday: ‘Jade has always loved wearing really dark make-up and wearing dark clothes but now she’s been ordered to drop that image if she wants to win the X Factor.’

According to the friend, the show’s producers pulled Jade aside during boot camp and told her that it is important she has a look that appeals to their younger viewers.’ They’ve said to her that she won’t win votes if she continues with the Gothic look,’ the friend added.

One vote Jade can count on however is England International and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshire. Wilshere, 19, tweeted to his 840,000 followers: ‘Jade Richards….remember the name! She is going to be a star!!!’ Jade then replied to the injured footballer and said: ‘@JackWilshere Thank you so much (:’ and then Wilshere pledged his allegiance to the young singer and wrote: ‘no problem! You have my support and my vote aswell! Keep going! (sic)’

Another celebrity fan of Jade is ex Welsh football star Robbie Savage who tweeted: ‘Jade Richards you are unbelievable ! Magnificent !’Jade, who says on her Facebook page that: ‘I party like a rock star, look like a movie star, play like an all-star and… baby I’m a superstar,’ has amassed almost 5000 Facebook fans since her performance and last night she trended on Twitter. An old school friend told the Sunday Mirror: ‘Jade turned into a goth when she was about 13 and was really quiet at school. But when she started singing in the pubs a few years ago she really came out of her shell and turned into a right wild child.’

It is unclear what image The X Factor’s producer will make Jade take on but some already successful Gothic styled artists include The Gossips Beth Ditto and Taylor Momsen.

Meanwhile, Ollie Murs and Dermot O’Leary were spotted chaperoning a group of X Factor finalists from London to Los Angeles last night.

They were seen flying in upper class with a large group of young male singers, who were being chatted to by an X Factor producer the whole way through the flight.

A source told the Mail Online that one passenger joked: ‘Give me a screaming baby any time, instead of this lot.’

The finalists were apparently breaking into song throughout the flight and bursting with excitement.
