Carol Vorderman Sally Lindsay Loose Women
Carol Vorderman Sally Lindsay Loose Women. Carol Vorderman and Sally Lindsay have been announced as the newest additions to the ‘Loose Women’ lineup. The former Countdown genius and Coronation Street actress will take their seats on the daytime panel, after the sacking of former regulars Kate Thornton and Zoe Tyler.
Lisa Maxwell, Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin, Andrea McLean and Lynda Bellingham, will all be returning and the new duo will make their Loose debut when the series returns to ITV this autumn.
An insider told the Daily Mirror: “Carol and Sally are a done deal.
“They were always popular choices, and bosses think they will be a perfect fit for the panel. They both bring a unique ¬personality and sense of humour, which will ¬hopefully sit well with the remaining regulars, but neither of them are afraid to speak their mind.
“‘Loose Women’ has always been about lively debate, and these two are certainly not afraid of that.”
Other stars who turned down the chance to join the entertainment show were newly svelte comedienne Dawn French,’Royal Family’ writer Caroline Aherne and former ‘Men Behaving Badly’ actress Caroline Quentin was forced to refuse a spot as she had already committed to starring in a play in London’s West End.
Bosses are said to be hopeful that a few new faces will give the show a much needed boost, as viewing figures were on the wane in early 2011.
