Akshat Saxena record. A baby in India was born with 34 fingers & toes! That’s right, Akshat Saxena had seven fingers on each hand and 10 toes on each foot. That easily set the Guinness World Record for the most fingers and toes. However, doctors recently removed the excess appendages and now Akshat Saxena has the normal number of fingers and toes. She, however, does not have thumbs. But doctors plan to make a thumb out of the fingers that were removed.

“I was so happy to see my baby as it was our first child,” his mother Amrita Saxena said during an interview. “But later, when I saw his fingers, I was shocked and surprised.”

Polydactylism is a congenital physical anomaly wherein the individual has more fingers than normal. The extra fingers (or toes) are usually soft tissue hanging on the side of the hand or foot. However, in some cases, the extra tissue has bone inside.
